Georgia was very open to different religions. Georgia let all religions, natives, protestant, and even various African religions, in. The only two religions that Georgia strictly prohibited was Catholic and Judaism. Even then though, Georgia allowed groups of Jews stay. Georgians even allowed Quakers, one of the most hated religions of all, in. But, where the line was drawn, was Catholicism. It was forbidden by the trustees, but when Georgia became a royal colony, rules about Catholicism loosened up.
